Day 03: Aqaba Hotel - Aqaba City Tour - Wadi Rum Jeep Ride - Wadi Rum Camp.

After breakfast we have a round in Aqaba, the only gateway to the red sea, to enjoy the beaches, and the Jordan’s only seaport. Relax at the beach or try one of the water activities to discover the varied marine life like snorkeling or a glass bottom boat ride. Aqaba is known for its weather and red corals, Aqaba is just the ticket for sun, fun, diving, snorkeling and swimming, great place for watersports such as waterskiing, parasailing, jet-skiing and fishing and ideal for a spot of relaxation, Aqaba has the oldest church dating from the 3rd century AD. you can also be interested by visiting, Aqaba Castle, Aqaba Marine Park, Sharif Hussein Bin Ali Mosque, Ayla, Aqaba Aquarium, Aqaba Bird Observatory. Day 04: Wadi Rum - Petra Visit - Petra Hotel.

After breakfast we drive 2.5 hrs to the red rose city Petra, the biggest attraction of Jordan. A trip to Jordan would not be complete without a visit to the remarkable lost city of Petra, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, when passing the canyon which called the Siq the main road that leads you to the city, starts from the Dam and ends at the Treasury which crowned by a funerary urn, which according to local legend conceals a pharaoh’s treasure, you will not miss Acades It is a name given to the row of monumental Nabataean tombs then you have to interest your eyes with the theatre consists of three rows of seats separated by passageways. After breakfast we drive to Shobak Crusader Castle perched dramatically on a hill top, See what remains of the former glory of the Crusaders.

Driving towards enjoy the scenic views of Dana the Nature Reserve is characterized by a chain of valleys and mountains which extend from the top of the Jordan Rift Valley down to the desert lowlands of Wadi Araba. Today, the hike of about 6 hours, shows you the beauty and various nature of the area. We continue along the famous ancient caravan route the King's Way, we have a short stop in Wadi Al-Mujib, to discovering the Siq Trail and go canyoning in the lowest nature reserve in the world (seasonal) The Reserve is located within the deep Wadi Mujib gorge, which enters the Dead Sea at 410m below sea level.

We reach Madaba “City of Mosaics” Wander the Christian market town, Church of St George and Jordan’s finest Byzantine mosaics, Madaba is a combination of rural home life and a hot spot for religious tourism. Continue to Mt. Nebo.

Heading to Mt Nebo most sacred sites in Jordan with views across the Promised Land Rising majestically from the rugged landscape of the region just northwest of Madaba, Mount Nebo is of great religious importance due to its biblical associations. Nebo is mentioned in the Bible as the place where Moses was granted a view of the Promised Land before his death.

Free morning to enjoy the beach and amenities of Dead Sea hotel. after that heading to the capital of Jordan, it should come as no surprise that Amman is brimming with activity and has no end of exciting things to do. Amman, already mentioned in the Bible as Rabbath Ammon, is a bustling modern city. The historical places are located in downtown, where we visit the Citadel with remains from the Roman to the early Islamic period. Then we have a round in the Archaeological Museum.

Visit the Roman Theatre from 2nd century with 6000 seats and time to stroll through Jabal Amman, one of the oldest parts of Amman. We will visit the Royal Car Museum with the collection of the late King Hussein, (Tuesdays close).

Day 08: Amman Hotel - Desert Castles - Amman Hotel.

Start our tour to the Desert Castles in eastern Jordan. The Amra Castle adorns with its zodiac dome and the early examples of Omayyad fresco paintings, and there are still the fortress-like mysterious Qasr Kharanah and the black basalt Roman/Medieval Islamic fort at Azraq. Continue to Qasr Hallabat a Roman fortress constructed under Emperor Caracalla and serves as a protection from Bedouin tribes. Back to hotel in Amman.

Day 09: Amman Hotel - Ajloun - Jerash - Amman Hotel.

After breakfast leave Amman, drive to Ajloun to visit the marvels of nature and the genius of medieval Arab military architecture have given northern Jordan two of the most important ecological and historical attractions in the Middle East: Ajloun Castle sits atop a hill in the Jabal Ajlun district in northwest Jordan. This Muslim castle presides over the surrounding area, Built nearly 1,000 years ago. It was also part of a postal route that was serviced by specially trained pigeons, Heading to Jerash, the best example of a Roman provincial city in the whole Middle East. We visit the spectacular Forum, Roman colonnaded street, the Nymphaeum and the Temple of Artemis. Jerash has a rhythm not seen anywhere else in Jordan. Back to Amman hotel.

Day 10: Amman - As Salt City - Iraq Al Amir - Amman Hotel.

Pick up from hotel, we drive to the town Salt. Here you walk along Hammam Street to see the highlights of the 19th century architecture of this period, houses with long-arched windows in picturesque narrow streets. Well known is the Abu Jaber mansion, built between 1892 and 1906, reputed to be the finest example of a 19th century merchant house in the region. From here we drive through a picturesque valley to the village of Iraq Al Amir, to have a traditional lunch meal at the Women's Cooperative. The women make a living with production of pottery and carpets, so you can have at the same time a look at the making of traditional handicraft. Close to the village we view Qasr Al Abd as example for Hellenistic architecture in Jordan. Transfer to Amman hotel for overnight.

How much shall I tip?

Tipping "gratuities" is not obligatory, but the people who are working in the tourism sector depend on tips as a major part of their income. Therefore, tipping is considered customary and widely expected in Jordan, while The amount depends on the situation. For example, In the restaurants, it is good to give 10% tip directly to the waiter even when there is service charge added to the bill as the service tax does not go to the waiters.

What are the opening and closing hours for tourist sites?

Most sites open from 08:00 until 17:00 during summertime and from 08:00 until 16:00 during wintertime, noting that these sites close earlier during Ramadan. Best of Jordan on your own schedule with MAP TOUR & TRAVELS. explores desert scenery, crusader-era castles, and the ancient Nabatean city of Petra. With a group of 10 people, WE TOOK the views at Dana Nature Reserve, see Little Petra and Petra, go deep into the sands of Wadi Rum on a Bedouin Jeep safari, then WE hit the Dead Sea for a salty swim. This three-day tour WERE THE BEST OF MY LIFE NON FORGETABLE .

Recommend for anyone wanting to see the highlights of Jordan - Petra, Wadi Rum, Dead Sea. We also visited other historical sites such as Mount Nebo, Ajloun, Jerash marvels of nature, As Salt City, Iraq Al Amir, the highlights of the 19th century and the Desert Castles in eastern Jordan, wonderful sites of Shobak Castle, Our driver was great, couldn't do more for us. Very informative. Brilliant experience!

What an amazing, memorable trip. our driver was lovely and extremely knowledgeable about the history of Jordan. It was all great but Petra and Wadi Rum was amazing spectacular sites and incredible history. The Dead Sea was a unique experience, Ajloun, Jerash marvels of nature, As Salt City, Iraq Al Amir, the highlights of the 19th century and the Desert Castles in eastern Jordan, wonderful sites of Shobak Castle, Dana , Kings Way, Madaba, Mt Nebo.

This is an amazing experience, from Petra, to Wadi Rum and seeing every star in the sky or the port of Aqaba in the south and then the Dead Sea. The service was professional, organised and we visited , Ajloun - Jerash As Salt City, raq Al Amir Shobak Castle , Dana View ,Kings Way , Madaba ,Mt Nebo ,Dead Sea . OUR guide/driver TAWFIQ deserves a special THANKS. He is friendly, engaging and hospitable and I enjoyed learning about Jordan through his eyes.
